Politics
Definition
- the art or science concerned with winning and holding control over a government
Politics is SLANT. It is a very clever self fulfilling construct that presumes the game of politics is the only game in town.
Today, governments and elections are understood through the language of political parties, the context of inherited beliefs, the mastery of the art of mass communication and persuasion and the power of media and money. We have a perfectly systemic self fulfilling prophecy that spins within the tight corrupt world it owns. The objective of politics is election and control.
That most governments operate without visible roadmaps and accountabilities is a dream come true for the distortion of reality that we call politics. We judge governments and vote on candidates based upon catch phrases and personalities and generalities and party affiliations and public relations domination.
We, the people, have no such objective. Our objectives include compassion, inclusiveness, freedom, Nurture, honesty, and an adaptive resource investment system that enables all of us to achieve our potential. We also want effective, efficient, inclusive, collaborative, energizing, productive, systemic and smart organizations to serve us.
In a better world:
There would be carefully derived map sets that show how things really are, how things really work, and what needs to be done (by whom, with what resources, in what timeframe, with what feedback and measurement system) to meet the people’s objectives.
Imagine every governmental body and every candidate presenting brief SYSTEMIC plans with easy to understand visualizations, agreeing to a transparent collaborative government, and enabling trustworthy proof processors and “we the people” to introduce a well constructed systemic “progress-against-objectives” map- regularly. That would do the trick.
We volunteer to lead the development of a pilot realization of this sanity.
